Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking an AI Architect to design end-to-end AI-native architectures for large clients, defining scope, guardrails, and evaluation strategies. You will balance model capabilities with business needs, drive architectural decisions, and mentor teams within EPAM's AI architecture practice.

You will prototype when needed, partner with presales, and shape proposals while ensuring governance and cost considerations are included in design choices.

Qualifications

• Architected AI-native systems in production (RAG, assistants, agents) with architect-level responsibility.
• Proven solution/software/enterprise architect with AI initiatives and hands-on proof.
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale distributed systems and cloud/data-flow architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end architectures for AI-native solutions including orchestration, retrieval, tool integration, and guardrails.
• Explain trade-offs and decisions to business stakeholders; document decisions and rationale.
• Work with EPAM delivery teams and presales to shape proposals and client options.
• Build proofs of concept when evidence is needed; contribute to EPAM's AI architecture practice.
