Androscoggin Bank's Gray branch is seeking a Client Service Representative to greet clients, open accounts, and handle transactions with accuracy and courtesy.

You will build relationships, identify financial needs, and refer to banking specialists as appropriate while delivering reliable, solutions-based service in a collaborative team environment. No banking experience is required, and the role offers a stable full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ year of experience in a customer service role.
• Proven communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform detail oriented work with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to learn teller processing software.
• Desire and ability to learn many products/services and thoroughly explain their features and benefits.
• Ability to identify customer needs, recommend applicable products/services and close the sale.

Responsibilities

• Receives checks and cash for deposit to savings and checking accounts, verifies deposit amounts, examines checks for endorsement and negotiability, and enters transactions into bank records via on-line teller terminal.
• Accurately processes payments for such loans as mortgage and installment, ensuring that payments equal the amount due and that all late charges, if applicable, are collected.
• Cashes checks and pays money from savings and checking accounts upon verifications of signatures and client account balances. Inspects all checks, bonds, money orders, savings withdrawals, etc. to determine their negotiability.
• Effectively use Client Relationship Management System to document client interactions, calls, incidents and activities.
• Will be expected to develop skills for any of the following duties: opening checking and savings accounts; controlling the vault cash; ATM processing; TCR use and processing; processing check re-orders; opening safe deposit boxes; cash advances; selling bank checks and money orders including logging the needed information.
