Androscoggin Bank’s South Paris branch is hiring a Client Service Representative full time. Interact with clients, open accounts, and support daily banking needs with accuracy and a friendly, solution‑oriented approach.

You’ll complete teller tasks after training, work with a small team, and grow through training and benefits. Prior banking experience isn’t required, but strong customer service and communication skills help you succeed.

Client Service Representative

South Paris Branch - Full Time (40 hours/week)

In this role, you will work as a Client Service Representative for the South Paris branch, interacting with clients and helping them with their banking and financial needs. As a Client Service Representative, you are the face of our bank, displaying our exceptional customer service to everyone that comes through our doors.

After a full training, you will complete teller functions, opening new checking and savings accounts/services along with handling moderately complex transactions professionally and accurately. In addition, you'll be responsible for understanding the financial needs of clients, and providing outstanding solutions-based service. You'll create strong relationships with clients enabling you to provide them with personalized service, including recognizing other financial service needs such as mortgages, commercial loans and investment services, and referring those customers to appropriate banking specialists.

Candidates for this position should possess exceptional customer service skills, a sales orientation and a high degree of accuracy in managing cash and following procedures. The ability to engage with business and individual clients in an engaging, professional manner is key to success, as is your ability to work well with your team of coworkers.

While no experience in banking is required, we are happy seek advanced placement in a higher level role for experienced candidates.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

• Receives checks and cash for deposit to savings and checking accounts, verifies deposit amounts, examines checks for endorsement and negotiability, and enters transactions into bank records via on-line teller terminal.
• Accurately processes payments for such loans as mortgage and installment, ensuring that payments equal the amount due and that all late charges, if applicable, are collected.
• Cashes checks and pays money from savings and checking accounts upon verifications of signatures and client account balances. Inspects all checks, bonds, money orders, savings withdrawals, etc. to determine their negotiability.
• Effectively use Client Relationship Management System to document client interactions, calls, incidents and activities.
• Will be expected to develop skills for any of the following duties: opening checking and savings accounts; controlling the vault cash; ATM processing; TCR use and processing; processing check re-orders; opening safe deposit boxes; cash advances; selling bank checks and money orders including logging the needed information.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ year of experience in a customer service role.
• Proven communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform detail oriented work with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to learn teller processing software.
• Desire and ability to learn many products/services and thoroughly explain their features and benefits.
• Ability to identify customer needs, recommend applicable products/services and close the sale.

This position has an intended hiring range of $21 to $22 per hour, depending on skills, experience, and other qualifications.
