Job summary

Cherry Bekaert LLP is seeking a detail-oriented Client Support Liaison to join our Core Tax team in Torrance, CA. You will serve as the primary contact for clients on non-technical matters, coordinating documents, utilizing Engage tools, and ensuring timely delivery of tax work.

You will work with Partners and Managers to streamline processes, assist with billing, reporting, and data management, and support engagement administration across CCH Axcess and SharePoint workflows.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Related professional experience demonstrating the ability to manage client support and administrative workflows.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with technology and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, initiative, and the ability to work with a high sense of urgency.
• Ability to adjust your schedule and accommodate significantly increased workload on deadline days.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a point of contact for clients on non-technical matters, including requesting supporting documentation and following up on signed engagement letters, consents, and e-file forms.
• Support managers with tax engagement administration, including rolling tax returns in CCH Axcess and Engagement binders and saving documents to Engagement and SharePoint binders.
• Prepare PBC and open-items lists and assist with e-file rejections, extension workflows, and submission of engagement letters for preparation.
• Coordinate due-date reporting by scheduling review meetings with managers, analyzing data using tools such as PivotTables and VLOOKUP, and creating nonstandard reports as requested.
• Support TaxCaddy account management, monitor and report incoming documents, and move workflows into process based on the percentage of documents received.
