Job summary

S&ME is seeking a motivated Client Developer to lead business development efforts from our Charleston, South Carolina office. The role focuses on growing client relationships, expanding market presence, and supporting marketing initiatives for our environmental, geotechnical, and construction materials teams.

You will collaborate with local leadership, nurture existing clients and identify new opportunities, while mentoring staff to strengthen business development capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, marketing, construction, business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of technical and/or business development experience within CRE, A/E/C industries.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Existing relationships with A/E/C industry Designers, Contractors, and Owners.
• Ability to increase sales opportunities and grow the Charleston office.

Responsibilities

• Strategic collaboration with local leadership to drive office revenue objectives.
• Develop client relationships, identify new opportunities, and expand brand presence.
• Coordinate local marketing efforts, events, and sponsorships to boost engagement.
• Support proposals and SOQs/RFQs to secure new projects and clients.
• Lead and mentor staff to strengthen client engagement and business development capabilities.
