H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Client Service Professional / Receptionist to be the welcoming face of the office. You will greet clients, manage check-ins, answer phones, and help match clients with the right tax professional.

This in-person role supports daily office operations alongside tax professionals, with training provided and potential pathways into tax preparation or leadership. Evening and weekend availability during tax season is required.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a fast-paced, client-centric environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and serve clients professionally.
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities throughout the day.
• Organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
• Comfort using basic computer programs and digital tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Teams and scheduling systems).

Responsibilities

• Greet clients warmly and create a welcoming, professional first impression as the face of the office
• Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and match clients with the right tax professional based on their needs
• Manage client check-in and intake processes, including scanning and organizing documents
• Maintain office organization and cleanliness to support a smooth, professional client experience
• Collaborate with tax professionals and team members to ensure seamless daily operations
• Handle sensitive client information with confidentiality, discretion, and care
