Job summary

Sun Tan City in Raleigh, NC is seeking an Assistant Salon Director to help drive store performance and deliver an exceptional client experience in a fast-paced tanning salon environment.

You will supervise Tanning Consultants, coach teams, manage daily operations, and support the Salon Director with staffing, reports, and sales goals, including nights and weekend coverage as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in management or sales in a retail/salon setting preferred.
• College education is preferred but not required.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities with team-building skills.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent client service techniques and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage daily salon operations in a fast-paced environment.
• Lead by example to create a client-centric experience and meet sales expectations.
• Maintain a professional, clean salon environment.
• Set clear goals for team members and provide coaching and feedback.
• Generate sales reports, manage inventory, and assist with director functions.
• Support Salon Director in controlling revenue and labor costs.
