Job summary

The Elizabeth Layton Center in Ottawa, KS is seeking a Client Accounts Specialist to join our Operations team. You will manage client financial records, update insurance coverage, configure fees based on household income, and prepare claims and statements with accuracy.

Reporting directly to the Operations Director, you will work with clients to set up payment plans, handle collections when needed, and coordinate with the billing system to ensure timely payments.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent, some college preferred.
• Proficient in use of computer and Microsoft Office.
• Some previous experience in medical billing or accounting preferred.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Must be able to pass all required background checks.

Responsibilities

• Collect and maintain accurate financial information for clients, update insurance coverage, and configure fees based on household income.
• Prep claims for submission and manage client payments and refunds.
• Send monthly statements and manage collections; contact clients about past due balances.
• Coordinate with outside collection agency and assist with fee reductions and payment plans.
• Perform special projects and comply with all ELC policies and procedures.
