Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP invites you to join our firm as a Client Accounting Coordinator based in Palo Alto or Los Angeles. This hybrid role provides client accounting analysis, billing and collection support to partners and practice areas, and coordination with the Client Accounting Supervisor.

You will handle complex billing, manage partner INV balances, review reports, respond to inquiries from clients, attorneys and staff, and help maintain up-to-date partner and client

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; billing and collection experience preferred.
• Experience with firm financial systems and client accounting.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Handles complex billing and client analysis projects.
• Manages assigned Partner(s) INV balances.
• Reviews outstanding INV reports and prevents stale AR.
• Responds to inquiries from clients, attorneys and staff.
• Prepares bills and back-up for AR write-offs, retainer and on-account applications, etc.
• Documents meetings with partners for actions and/or follow-up.
• Maintains complete and up-to-date profiles for each partner and/or client.
• Updates and maintains task list for billing, collections, accruals, action items and responses.
• Demonstrates effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships with others.
• Manages Firm resources responsibly.
• Regular and reliable physical presence to work as part of a team.
