Job summary

Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in New York City seeks a Senior Client Accounting Coordinator to support client account analysis and billing across partners and practice areas on a hybrid schedule (2 days in-office, 3 days remote). This role requires at least five years of legal billing experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency with Aderant, Elite or 3E.

Bachelor’s degree required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with at least five years of legal billing experience.
• Experience with Aderant, Elite or 3E billing systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational and confidentiality skills.

Responsibilities

• Handles multiple complex billing and client analysis projects.
• Reviews outstanding balance reports and identifies trouble spots.
• Prepares bills with appropriate backup to process requests.
• Coordinates client accounting activity for partners and practice areas.
• Trains and mentors Client Accounting Assistants and Coordinators as needed.
• Maintains up-to-date files for each partner and client.
• Communicates issues and escalates as needed.
