The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s State Correctional Institution at Muncy is seeking a Clerical Supervisor 1 to lead the Superintendent’s Office operations. Work 37.5 hours per week, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, Monday–Friday, with no telework option. The starting salary is $41,506 per year; candidates must meet CJIS and background requirements and complete

Qualifications

• One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Office Operations: Manage daily activities within the Superintendent's Office and recommend effective work procedures and standards
• Communication Support: Screen calls, route information to appropriate staff, and compose professional correspondence
• Scheduling Coordination: Maintain calendars, arrange meetings, prepare visit clearances, and coordinate travel accommodations
• Records Management: Maintain filing systems, confidential reports, investigation files, and documentation needed for accreditation requirements
• Staff Supervision: Oversee designated clerical employees, review time records, monitor leave usage, and contribute to hiring and performance management
• Reporting Duties: Prepare reports, meeting minutes, status updates, and other confidential documents for leadership review
