Job summary

CACI is seeking a cleared Sr. Systems (Database) Administrator to support a virtualized environment at Langley AFB, working with SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases as part of the DGS modernization effort.

The role involves maintaining databases, building automated jobs, and ensuring system integrity in a VMware-based data center. Ideal candidates have TS/SCI clearance, 6+ years in Windows and database administration, and hands-on experience with SSMS, PostgreSQL, VMware, T-SQL, and PowerShell.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
• Minimum 6 years as both Windows System Administrator and Database Administrator.
• Security+ CE certification is required.
• Experience with Windows Server 2019+, SSMS, PostgreSQL 16+, VMware, T-SQL and PowerShell.

Responsibilities

• Maintain SQL Server 2019+ databases and assist migrations from older versions.
• Build and run automated jobs for maintenance, archiving, backups.
• Maintain a virtualized data center with VMware and Dell/EMC hardware.
• Tune servers, software configurations and storage allocations.
• Ensure information system security through patching, antivirus updates and data archiving/restoral.
• Respond to outages and technical queries; resolve system issues.
• Conduct system analysis to keep technologies current; update configuration management.
• Resolve and track trouble tickets using Serena Business Manager.
• Provide guidance to Tier 1 and 2 personnel.
