Job summary

CACI International Inc. seeks a Sr. Systems Administrator (Active Directory) to support the Distributed Ground System (DGS) at Langley AFB in Hampton, VA. You will manage a virtualized data center, AD, and security-enhanced IT operations in a mission-driven environment.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance, a related bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, and 5+ years of IT/sysadmin work, with VMware, DNS, Group Policy, and Windows 11 experience. Up to 10% travel nationwide is anticipated.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate a virtualized data center environment using VMware and Dell/EMC server/storage technologies.
• Install, support, and maintain servers, including performance tuning and storage allocation.
• Protect system integrity via patch management, antivirus oversight, and data backup/restoration.
• Diagnose and resolve service outages and system-related issues.
• Conduct system analysis and implement updates to keep technologies current.
• Perform routine system health checks across processes, services, networks, and storage.
• Update documentation and support configuration management; resolve issues.
• Collaborate with security on upgrades, compliance, and system security initiatives.
• Provide mentorship to Tier 1 and Tier 2 support personnel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate a virtualized data center environment utilizing VMware and Dell/EMC server and storage technologies.

• Protect system integrity, confidentiality, and availability through robust patch management, antivirus oversight, and data backup/restoration.
• Diagnose and resolve service outages, technical inquiries, and system-related issues.

• Perform routine system health checks across processes, services, networks, and storage.
• Update documentation, support configuration management, and resolve reported issues.
• Partner with the security team on upgrades, compliance, and system security initiatives.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to Tier 1 and Tier 2 support personnel.

Qualifications

Required:

• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree
• Minimum 5 years of relevant IT/System Administration experience
• Security+ certification
• Experience with one or more of the following: Microsoft Server 2019, Microsoft Windows 11, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, or VMware

The Proposed Salary Range For This Position Is

$75,200-$158,100
