Job summary

CACI is seeking a Sr. Systems Administrator (Active Directory) to support the modernization and operations of the Distributed Ground System at Langley AFB in Hampton, VA.

In this role, you’ll work in a highly technical, mission‑driven environment where your expertise directly enhances system readiness and performance. This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 5+ years of IT/sys admin experience, and Security+ certification.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years of relevant IT/System Administration experience
• Security+ certification
• Experience with Microsoft Server 2019, Windows 11, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, or VMware

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate a virtualized data center environment utilizing VMware and Dell/EMC server and storage technologies.
• Install, support, and maintain servers—including performance tuning, system-wide configuration, and storage allocation.
• Protect system integrity, confidentiality, and availability through patch management, antivirus oversight, and data backup/restoration.
• Diagnose and resolve service outages, technical inquiries, and system-related issues.
• Conduct system analysis and implement updates to keep technologies modern and effective.
• Perform routine system health checks across processes, services, networks, and storage.
• Update documentation, support configuration management, and resolve reported issues.
• Partner with the security team on upgrades, compliance, and system security initiatives.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to Tier 1 and Tier 2 support personnel.
