Job summary

Amazon is hiring a cleared Systems Development Engineer in Denver to help build and support billing systems in air-gapped AWS environments and to create tooling for operational excellence. You will influence scalability, availability, and the overall readiness of services used by US ADC customers.

The role requires TS/SCI with polygraph, strong software development skills, and experience with Linux/Unix and modern languages. Expect a fast-paced, high-impact team focus.

Qualifications

• Experience in professional software development.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems and security concepts.
• Proficient in at least one modern programming language (C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby).
• Experience with automation tooling for building, testing, releasing or monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Build and support billing systems in air-gapped cloud environments and related services.
• Develop tooling to improve operational posture, scalability and reliability.
• Contribute to incident response, monitoring and automation for government workloads.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to balance constraints and long-term design impact.
