Job description

The Opportunity:

Avantor is seeking a dedicated and eager-to-learn Cleanroom Assembly Technician to join our Fluid Handling team, supporting complex business and technology initiatives.

This full-time role is based in our Devens, MA office. You will build a variety of single-use assemblies for the medical industry, utilizing manufacturing and measuring equipment. If you have experience in manufacturing or sciences and are passionate about making a direct impact in the medical community, let's talk!

This role offers a $1000 sign-on bonus. Support shifts include 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift.

The team

Avantor's Fluid Handling team is part of the Lab and Production Services business unit. We support major laboratories worldwide by integrating new technology solutions into their processes and operations.

What we're looking for
  1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  2. Experience: 0-2 years in a cleanroom environment
  3. Tools: Familiarity with Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience working in a cleanroom environment
  2. Ability to interpret engineering drawings
  3. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
How you'll thrive and create an impact
  • Build, clean, and package single-use assemblies according to Engineering Process Records (EPR), drawings, and SOPs.
  • Wear appropriate PPE and report all near misses and first aid events.
  • Follow cleanroom protocols and cGMPs to maintain ISO Class 7 environment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement processes and follow change control procedures.
  • Escalate potential process or product deviations to prevent scrap, rework, and customer returns.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of work and common areas.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy by returning unused parts properly with traceability.
  • Adhere to ISO 9001:2015 quality standards and meet manufacturing schedules for on-time delivery.
  • Complete and sign-off EPRs for each assembly operation.
  • Complete assemblies within work order timeframes, emphasizing quality and first-time right mentality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
