PROCUREMENT TECHNICIAN

Job Location: 150 N. 18TH Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85007

Posting Details: Salary: $51,300; Grade: 19

Job Summary:

This position is located in a centralized procurement office with delegated procurement authority. Works under general supervision, providing subject matter expertise in procuring goods and services, developing agreements, monitoring contract expiration dates, and serving as the APP administrator to support agency requests.

This position may offer the ability to work remotely within Arizona, based on departmental needs and performance.

Job Duties:
  • Serve as the main information source for end users related to APP; create and manage approval paths, profiles, and assist with Purchase Order closure.
  • Administer contracts and agreements, including extensions, certificates, debarment checks, and database updates.
  • Verify contract adherence, identify issues, and provide solutions.
  • Train users on APP, purchasing procedures, and contracts.
  • Run reports and update relevant information.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge of: procurement laws, funding rules, contract management, government contracting principles, financial analysis, negotiation techniques, computer applications, performance management, and CQI methodologies.

Skills in: verbal and written communication, data analysis, record keeping, interpreting laws, designing research instruments, relationship building, conflict resolution, technical bid analysis.

Abilities to: work independently and in teams, manage priorities, exercise judgment, meet deadlines, support a diverse workforce, and create an inclusive environment.

Selective Preference(s):

Bachelor's in Business or procurement with 1-year experience, or 3 years procurement experience; preference for governmental experience and IT/system software knowledge.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Driver's License; successful completion of E-Verify.
