Job summary

Robinson & Cole LLP is seeking a CLE Specialist to support the Attorney Career Development team in administering and enhancing the firm’s Continuing Legal Education program across offices, planning, tracking, and evaluating credits for internal attorney training and external client programs.

You will coordinate accreditation, audits, and communications, maintain online learning tools, and collaborate with Marketing and Talent Management to drive process improvements and standardized CLE

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of directly related continuing legal education experience in a law firm.
• Experience in a large, multi-office AmLaw 200 environment preferred.
• Working knowledge of CLE rules in the states where the firm maintains an office.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, coordinate and fulfill internal CLE event needs with the Attorney Career Development Manager and Firm’s Professional Development Committee.
• Serve as primary point of contact for internal CLE program administration including intake, eligibility review, attendance tracking, materials, certificates, and records.
• Coordinate client CLE events with attorneys and Marketing Department.
• Provide guidance to attorneys and colleagues regarding CLE requirements, timelines, documentation, attendance procedures, and jurisdictional considerations.
• Prepare and submit CLE applications for internal and external programs.
• Review materials for completeness and consistency with CLE requirements.
• Draft internal communications regarding CLE opportunities and training.
• Prepare communications regarding CLE credit availability, attendance requirements, logistics, and online learning tools.
• Maintain spreadsheets, databases, and other administrative tools for CLE compliance tracking and program operations.
• Respond to audits and maintain accredited provider status across states.
• Monitor changes to CLE rules in primary states and update procedures accordingly.
• Maintain online learning tools (e.g., viDesktop, PLI, InterAction) and manage their integration.
• Identify data issues and process gaps; implement improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency.
• Generate CLE reports and tracking materials for leadership and stakeholders.
• Take ownership of CLE processes from intake to completion, including stakeholder coordination and documentation.
