Job summary

Boston Public Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional to support teachers in delivering an innovative, high quality education program across classrooms and student supports. You will assist with instruction, prepare materials, set up and maintain learning spaces, and help supervise students in and outside the classroom.

The ideal candidate has at least a high school diploma or GED, plus two years experience with young children and US work authorization.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 48 credit hours or an associate's degree or passing ParaPro/WorkKeys assessments.
• Minimum of two years experience with young children.
• Authorized to work in the United States from first day of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supports direct instruction to children individually, in small groups, and in classroom settings.
• Provides assistance with classroom activities.
• Prepares instructional materials.
• Assists in classroom set up and clean up.
• Manages individual and classroom behavior using prescribed approaches.
• Supervises students on field trips.
• Performs other related duties as requested by Head of School/Principal.
