Job summary

Boston Public Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional to support teachers and students within an innovative education program. You will assist with instruction, prepare materials, and help maintain an orderly classroom under the supervision of the Principal/Head of School.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and 48 college credits or an Associate degree or qualifying ParaPro/WorkKeys, plus at least two years of experience with young children.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 48 college credits / Associate degree or passing ParaPro/WorkKeys assessments.
• Minimum of two years experience working with young children.
• Current authorization to work in the United States by first day of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supports direct instruction to children individually, in small groups, and in classroom settings.
• Provides assistance with classroom activities.
• Prepares instructional materials.
• Assists in classroom set up and clean up.
• Manages individual and classroom behavior, using prescribed approaches.
• Supervises students on field trips.
• Performs other related duties as requested by Head of School/Principal.
