Job summary

Boston Public Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional to assist teachers in delivering a high-quality education program designed to meet the needs of students. You will work with staff to create an educational environment where quality and continuity are prioritized and where all students have access to learning opportunities.

Responsibilities include supporting instruction in various settings, preparing materials, managing behavior, supervising on field trips, and assisting with classroom setup.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 48 college credit hours or an Associate's degree, or valid ParaPro/WorkKeys.
• Minimum two years of experience with young children.
• Authorized to work in the United States by start date.

Responsibilities

• Supports direct instruction to children individually, in small groups, and in classroom settings.
• Provides assistance with classroom activities.
• Prepares instructional materials.
• Assists in classroom set up and clean up.
• Manages individual and classroom behavior.
• Supervises students on field trips.
• Performs other related duties as requested by Head of School/Principal.
