Job summary

Boston Public Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional to support teachers in delivering a high-quality education program for students. You will assist with direct instruction, prepare instructional materials, and help maintain a positive classroom environment.

Responsibilities include supervising students on field trips, setting up classrooms, and helping manage behavior per established procedures. A strong commitment to equity and student success is essential.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• 48 credit hours or an Associate's Degree, or passing ParaPro/WorkKeys.
• Minimum of two years experience working with young children.
• Current authorization to work in the United States - Candidates must have such authorization by their first day of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supports direct instruction to children individually, in small groups, and in classroom settings
• Provides assistance with classroom activities.
• Prepares instructional materials.
• Assists in classroom set up and clean up.
• Manages individual and classroom behavior, using prescribed approaches.
• Supervises students on field trip activities.
• Performs other related duties as requested by Head of School/Principal.
