Job summary

Cherry Creek School District is seeking an Instructional Para Educator to support licensed staff by assisting students with basic curriculum work and implementing programming. You will prepare classroom materials, monitor students, and help evaluate achievement.

This role may involve working with behaviorally diverse students and requires collaboration with teachers to reinforce learning and discipline procedures.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• High School Equivalency diploma.
• No professional work experience required.
• Two years of higher education or an associate degree.
• Office equipment and Microsoft Office basics.
• Intermediate English language and communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to work one-on-one and in small groups with students.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher in preparing materials, administering tests, grading, attendance, etc.
• Assist students with classroom activities and curriculum delivery for individuals and small groups.
• Monitor students and reinforce appropriate behavior in various settings.
• Perform basic clerical work for the classroom teacher (typing, filing, inventory, data entry).
• Assist with field trips, fire drills, and classroom events as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
