Chicago Public Schools (CPS) seeks a Class Size Teacher Assistant to support instructional activities and supervision in Priority Schools. Under supervision of licensed teachers, you will assist in classrooms, supervise students, and help prepare instructional materials.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and a valid ISBE paraprofessional license (60 college hours or Work Keys/ParaPro). CPS offers strong health, retirement, and time-off benefits.

Qualificações

• Graduation from high school (or G.E.D. equivalent) is required.
• Good knowledge of English grammar and basic math.
• Ability to work with school-aged children and communicate effectively.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in supervising students during lunch and playground activities.
• Provide security functions such as monitoring corridors and reviewing IDs.
• Assist students in understanding and completing classroom assignments.
• Help teachers prepare bulletin boards and display student work.
• Operate photocopying and duplicating machines to reproduce materials.
• Maintain orderly classrooms and greet/guide visitors.
• Collect daily attendance reports and contact parents/guardians.
• Assist in supervising student loading/unloading on buses.
