Job summary

The School District of Lee County is seeking an Instructional Support (ESE) at Harns Marsh Elementary School in Lehigh Acres, FL. The role supports students individually or in small groups, implements lesson plans under supervision, and helps prepare instructional materials.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent with ParaPro, or 60 college credits/Associate's degree. Preferred: Associate’s degree with 1 year related experience. Routine confidentiality is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with passing ParaPro Exam.
• Or completion of 60 credit hours or an Associate's degree.
• Preferred: Associate’s degree and 1 year related experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the instructional process with students individually or in small groups.
• Assist in preparation, organization, and use of instructional aids and materials.
• Work with the teacher to reinforce positive learning and behavior.
• Assist students in development of study skills and learning objectives.
• Support parental involvement activities.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information.
• Perform related clerical and recordkeeping duties as directed.
• Provide support in computer labs, libraries, and learning facilities.
• Assist in implementation of an IEP when appropriate.
