Job summary

Wake County Public School System is seeking an Instructional Assistant (IA) to support teachers and students at elementary, middle, or high school levels. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six documented semester hours of coursework in childhood education, OR two years of work experience in a childhood setting (Title I).
• CPI certification may be required depending on school and population.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with instructional activities and classroom management.
• Support individual students or small groups as directed by teachers.
• Prepare materials and manage classroom logistics to support lesson plans.
• Participate in district staff development and professional growth.
