Job summary

Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA, seeks an Audiovisual Support Specialist to provide technical support for audiovisual systems, multimedia production, and learning spaces across campus. Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in AV tech or related field is required.

  • Extron Control Professional Certificate must be held or completed within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Academic Audiovisual Support and training for video, audio, and multimedia production.
  • Design, install, replace, and maintain A/V equipment; provide documentation and training.
  • Support self-service video/audio conferences and webcasts.
  • Video editing and media conversion tasks.
  • Research and order supplies and A/V equipment; provide procurement consultation.

Job Summary/Basic Function

The Audiovisual Support Specialist provides technical support for audiovisual systems, multimedia production, and learning spaces across campus. This position designs, installs, maintains, and troubleshoots A/V equipment and control systems; provides training and documentation for faculty, staff, and students; and supports video conferencing, webcasting, and multimedia production. The role also researches and recommends A/V equipment and supplies and provides consultation on presentation technology and equipment purchases.

Position Summary
  • Academic Audiovisual Support. Training for video, audio and multimedia production. 10%
  • Learning Spaces Audiovisual Support. Design, installation, replacement and maintenance of A/V equipment. Provide support, training and documentation on the use of A/V equipment. A/V control system programming. 45%
  • Provide support and training for self-service video and audio conferences and webcasts. 10%
  • Multimedia Production. Video editing, media conversion, dubbing. 10%
  • Research, recommend and order supplies and A/V equipment. 15
  • Provide consulting services for presentation and equipment procurement. 10%

Education/Requirement
  • Associate's degree, required in Audio-Visual Technology, Electronics, Information Technology, Media Production, or closely related field.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferred in Audio-Visual Technology, Electronics, Information Technology, Media Production, or closely related field.
  • Demonstrated professional experience supporting, installing, and maintaining classroom or learning-space audiovisual systems may substitute for all or part of the required education. Experience may be gained in higher education, K-12 education, corporate environments, or large-scale event/production settings may be substituted for all or some of the stated educational requirements.
  • Extron Control Professional Certificate must be held or completed within the first six months of employment.
