Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands, Inc. is seeking a full‑time Delivery Driver in Rome, NY to transport building materials to dealers, distribution centers and job sites. Base pay is $24.00 per hour with day shift and potential overtime.

The role involves inspecting vehicles, loading/unloading, and ensuring DOT compliance with a strong focus on customer service. The position requires a Class B CDL, 2 years of driving experience, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License.
• 2 years commercial truck driving experience (equivalent Military DD214 acceptable).
• Willing to tarp and strap loads.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist.
• Ability to work independently or with a team.
• Ability to plan and manage time efficiently.
• Ability to work safely throughout the day and prevent unsafe conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre & post-trip inspections thoroughly.
• Maintain cleanliness and integrity of vehicle and equipment.
• Immediately report any necessary repairs and/or maintenance needed.
• Actively ensure compliance with DOT guidelines.
• Load and unload truck using a Manitou or Moffett.
• Verify entire content loads prior to leaving manufacturing facility or job site.
• Follow all safety procedures for transporting goods.
• Other duties as assigned.

JOB DETAILS

Base Pay Rate $24.00 per hour

Shift: Day Shift, Full Time

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Driver will be expected to transport and deliver building materials to our dealers, distribution centers and/or construction job sites using a 30' straight truck. This position requires a wide range of skills from practicing safe driving and delivery to top-notch customer service. This is a hands‑on delivery driving position and will be some OTR during the week and some Saturdays may be required based on business needs.
