Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Rogers, MN is hiring a regional delivery driver. The role will transport building materials to customers, distribution centers, and job sites with a tractor-trailer, emphasizing safety, accuracy, and customer service. This full-time position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with weekends off.

Base pay starts at $28.00 per hour, plus an $8,000.00 bonus. The position requires CDL, multi-drop expertise, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• 2 years commercial truck driving experience (Military DD214 acceptable).
• 1 year of flatbed experience.
• Clean driving record.
• Willing to strap flatbed loads.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds continuously.
• Multi-drop delivery experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently or with a team.
• Time management and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver material in route truck/multi-drop fashion per Federal regulations.
• Apply knowledge of commercial driving and vehicle maneuvering in challenging conditions.
• Maintain records for compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Operate safely per company policies and DOT guidelines.
• Answer questions about packing lists, invoices, and materials; direct to contact if needed.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Keep vehicle and equipment clean and in good condition.
• Report needed repairs promptly.
• Comply with DOT guidelines and company procedures.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

JOB DETAILS

Base Pay starts at $28.00 per hour

$8,000.00 Bonus

Shift: Full-Time, Monday through Friday weekends home

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Driver will be expected to transport and deliver building materials to our customers, distribution centers and/or construction job sites using a tractor-trailer. This position requires a wide range of skills from practicing safe driving and delivery to top-notch customer service. The Ideal candidate will provide customer responsiveness and efficient material handling and delivery activities. This is a hands-on regional delivery driving position.

• Deliver material in “route truck/multi-drop” fashion to destinations in accordance with Federal regulations
• Apply knowledge of commercial driving and skills in maneuvering vehicle at varying speed in difficult situations, such as heavy traffic, inclement weather or in tight loading dock areas
• Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations including driver logs, fuel purchases, mileage records, and other records required by law
• Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all Federal, State, and local regulations for safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle
• Able to answer questions regarding packing lists, invoices, packaging, and material content. If unable to answer specific questions, direct customer to appropriate contact
• Perform pre & post-trip inspections thoroughly
• Maintain cleanliness and integrity of vehicle and equipment
• Immediately report any necessary repairs and/or maintenance needed
• Actively ensure compliance with DOT guidelines
• May perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
• 2 years commercial truck driving experience (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable)
• 1 year of flatbed experience
• Clean driving record
• Willing to strap flatbed loads
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist.
• Multi-drop delivery experience a plus
• Ability to work independently or with a team
• Ability to plan and manage time efficiently
• Ability to work safely throughout the day and prevent unsafe conditions
