Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is hiring a delivery driver to transport building materials to dealers, distribution centers, and job sites. This full-time role is a day shift, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday work based on business needs.

Average pay is $37.00 per hour plus a performance-based bonus of $8,000. Responsibilities include safe driving, on-time deliveries, loading/unloading with Manitou or Moffett, and daily DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• At least 2 years of commercial truck driving experience.
• Ability to tarp loads using Conestoga XP roll tarp systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain cleanliness and integrity of vehicle and equipment.
• Report necessary repairs or maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with DOT guidelines.
• Load and unload truck using a Manitou or Moffett.
• Verify loads before leaving facility or job site.
• Follow safety procedures for transporting goods.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

JOB DETAILS

Base Pay Rate $37.00 per hour

Bonus $8,000

Shift: Day Shift, Full Time, Monday through Friday

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Driver will be expected to transport and deliver building materials to our dealers, distribution centers and/or construction job sites using a tractor-trailer. This position requires a wide range of skills from practicing safe driving and delivery to top-notch customer service. This is a hands-on delivery driving position and will be OTR during the week and some Saturdays may be required based on business needs.

• Perform pre & post-trip inspections thoroughly
• Maintain cleanliness and integrity of vehicle and equipment
• Immediately report any necessary repairs and/or maintenance needed
• Actively ensure compliance with DOT guidelines
• Load and unload truck using a Manitou or Moffett
• Verify entire content loads prior to leaving manufacturing facility or job site
• Follow all safety procedures for transporting goods
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
• 2 years commercial truck driving experience (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable)
• Willing to tarp using Conestoga XP Roll Tarp Systems and strap flatbed loads
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Ability to work independently or with a team
• Ability to plan and manage time efficiently
• Ability to work safely throughout the day and prevent unsafe conditions
