Job summary

Clean Harbors in La Porte, TX is seeking a Local/Regional/OTR Class A Dry Van Driver to join a safety-focused team. The route runs from La Porte, TX to TX/LA/OK/AR and averages 2,000 miles per week with weekly home time.

The role features an $80,000–$110,000 annual target, plus a $7,500 sign-on bonus, and compensation that includes hourly wages for all on‑duty non‑driving time and mileage pay. Health benefits after 30 days, 401K with company matching, PTO, and training are provided.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL is required.
• Minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience.
• HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements are required.
• Ability to use mobile applications and computer software for routing and log keeping.

Responsibilities

• Ensures Health and Safety is the number one priority by following safe work practices and company policies.
• Operates tractor trailer units and other vehicles.
• Adheres to weight limits and ensures proper utilization of the units.
• Ensures proper loading and unloading of hazardous and non-hazardous waste; secures the loads accordingly.
• Places placards on vehicle following DOT requirements/regulations.
• Maintains daily logs, time sheets, expense reports, dispatch and trip reports, and vehicle inspection reports.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
• Operates tractor trailer units and other vehicles
• Adheres to weights and ensures proper utilization of the units
• Ensures proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste; Properly secures the loads
• Placards vehicle in accordance to Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements/regulations
• Maintains daily logs, time sheets, expense reports, dispatch and trip reports as well as vehicle inspection reports

Qualifications

• HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements
• Ability to effectively use required technology such as mobile applications and computer software
