Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking a Regional Class A Dry Van Driver to join our safety conscious team operating in Ohio and Michigan. This route runs from Ohio/Michigan to El Dorado, AR, and covers about 2,700 to 3,000 miles per week, with trips lasting 7–10 days at a time.

Drivers earn approximately $95k to $115k per year, with a $7,500 sign-on bonus. Bi-weekly home time and a compensation package including hourly on-duty time and mileage pay.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience.
• Valid Class A CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Ensures safety is the priority and follows all safe work practices.
• Operates tractor trailer units and other vehicles.
• Adheres to weights and ensures proper utilization of the units.
• Loads/unloads hazardous and non-hazardous waste and secures loads.
• Placards vehicle per DOT requirements and regulations.
• Maintains logs, time sheets, expense and trip reports, and inspections.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
• Operates tractor trailer units and other vehicles
• Adheres to weights and ensures proper utilization of the units
• Ensures proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste; Properly secures the loads
• Placards vehicle in accordance to Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements/regulations
• Maintains daily logs, time sheets, expense reports, dispatch and trip reports as well as vehicle inspection reports

Qualifications

• Class A CDL
• Minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience
• HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements
• Ability to effectively use required technology such as mobile applications and computer software
