Job summary

5 Star Electric, LLC is seeking an Overhead Distribution Lineman – A Class to support on-site operations in Kentucky. The role involves working energized and de-energized lines, setting poles, stringing wire, and operating service trucks.

Requirements include four years of experience or equivalent and a valid State Driver License with CDL-A and current medical card. OSHA 10hr within 60 days is required; background checks apply. Safety is paramount on every job.

Qualifications

• Must possess math skills along with basic knowledge of PMP and Electrical Theory.
• Must be able to work outdoors in diverse terrain and in all weather conditions.
• Physical capability to safely operate a motor vehicle in all driving conditions.
• Ability to climb poles and work at heights.
• Digs holes and sets poles for electrical lines.
• Climbs poles and makes necessary repairs.

Responsibilities

• Thorough knowledge of methods, practices and equipment of electrical line work.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Responds to work orders for utility disconnections, reconnections, new orders, and other public works service.
• Maintains assigned tools and equipment.
