Job summary

Daniels Health & Sharpsmart is seeking a customer-focused driver with a Class A license to cover the Allensville, KY area, collecting sharps and medical waste containers and delivering a high level of service daily.

Responsibilities include operating a straight truck/tractor trailer up to 53ft, loading/unloading, DOT logging, and maintaining strong customer relationships. This is a full-time direct hire with 5AM–3PM shifts and benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• Class A license with a clean driving record and valid DOT medical card.
• Minimum 3 years experience operating straight truck/tractor trailer up to 53ft.
• Pass 7 Year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations.
• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections.
• Can-do attitude with a strong customer focus.
• Proven longevity in past employment.
• Touch freight experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect, deliver and store medical waste containers at customer locations.
• Provide strong customer service and build relationships.
• Deliver according to schedule and communicate changes.
• Load/unload and organize truck per schedule.
• Comply with DOT regulations, log hours and inspections.
• Handle pushing/pulling up to 200 lbs cart.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer focused driver with a Class A license and experience driving large trucks to utilize your experience across the Allensville, KY area. You will be collecting sharps and medical waste containers from our healthcare customer locations and delivering a high level of customer service daily.

What will your job involve?

• Operating straight truck/tractor trailer up to 53ft in a safe manner


• Safely collect, deliver and store our medical waste containers at customer locations


• Providing strong customer service and building positive customer relationships


• Completing deliveries to time schedule and clearly communicating changes


• Loading and unloading and organizing your truck per schedule needs


• Complying with DOT regulations, logging hours and roadside inspections


• Pushing/pulling a four-wheeled cart that weighs as much as 200lbs!!

What are we looking for?

• Class A license with a clean driving record and VALID DOT MEDICAL CARD


• Minimum 3 years experience operating straight truck/tractor trailer up to 53ft


• Passing our 7 Year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse


• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations


• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections
