Job summary

Daniels Health & Sharpsmart in Allensville, KY is hiring a driver with a Class A license to collect and deliver medical waste containers and provide top‑notch customer service across healthcare locations. You will operate straight trucks up to 53ft and drive on a Monday–Friday schedule, 5AM to 3PM.

This full‑time position offers job stability, overtime opportunities, and benefits from day one. A clean driving record, DOT medical card, and at least three years of experience are required to

Qualifications

• Class A license with clean driving record.
• Valid DOT medical card.
• Minimum 3 years experience operating straight truck/tractor trailer up to 53ft.
• Passing the 7 Year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations.
• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections.
• Can-do attitude with a strong customer focus.
• Proven longevity in past employment.
• Touch freight experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate straight truck/tractor trailer up to 53ft safely.
• Collect and deliver medical waste containers at customer locations.
• Provide strong customer service and build relationships.
• Deliver on schedule and communicate changes clearly.
• Load, unload, and organize truck per schedule.
• Comply with DOT regulations, logging hours and roadside inspections.
• Push/pull a 200lb four-wheeled cart.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer focused driver with a Class A license and experience driving large trucks to utilize your experience across the Allensville, KY area. You will be collecting sharps and medical waste containers from our healthcare customer locations and delivering a high level of customer service daily.

What will your job involve?

• Operating straight truck/tractor trailer up to 53ft in a safe manner


• Safely collect, deliver and store our medical waste containers at customer locations


• Providing strong customer service and building positive customer relationships


• Completing deliveries to time schedule and clearly communicating changes


• Loading and unloading and organizing your truck per schedule needs


• Complying with DOT regulations, logging hours and roadside inspections


• Pushing/pulling a four-wheeled cart that weighs as much as 200lbs!!

What are we looking for?

• Class A license with a clean driving record and VALID DOT MEDICAL CARD


• Minimum 3 years experience operating straight truck/tractor trailer up to 53ft


• Passing our 7 Year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse


• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations


• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections
