Job summary

Oak Harbor Freight Lines is seeking a Line Driver to transport freight trailers between terminals, primarily during evening and overnight hours. No freight handling is required beyond hooking/unhooking trailers.

Earn between $0.67 and $0.76 per mile, plus $0.03 per mile for triples. Hourly pay ranges from $28.87 to $32.64 (doe). Flexible weekend/nights and solid benefits are part of the package.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21
• CDL Class A with Hazmat, Tanker, and Double/Triples endorsements
• At least 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience with similar equipment
• Doubles/triples & chaining experience preferred but not required
• DOT Medical Certification
• Clean driving record. No DUI, reckless driving, or positive drug/alcohol screen in the last 3 years
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers, co-workers, and dispatch/managers
• Basic English proficiency in reading, writing and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently tractor trailer combinations between terminals or meet points.
• Adapting to challenging conditions like inclement weather and various road conditions.
• Ability to meet the Company’s reliability standard for employees.
• Ability to chain as needed and to work in inclement weather is required.
• Availability to work weekends and/ or nights if needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Line Driver:

Responsible for safely transporting freight trailers between terminals or designated meet points, primarily during evening and overnight hours. Duties focus on driving and hooking and unhooking trailers; no freight handling is required.

Competitive Mileage Pay:

• Earn between $0.67 to $0.76 per mile. Plus, you get an extra $0.03 per mile for triples.
• Get compensated for every drop, hook, CHAINING, and fuel.
