Job summary

Oak Harbor Freight Lines, Inc. is seeking a Line Driver to transport freight trailers between terminals and meet points, primarily during evenings and overnights.

You will operate tractor-trailer combinations with emphasis on safety and on-time performance. Requirements include a Class A CDL with Hazmat, Tanker, and Double/Triple endorsements, at least one year of verifiable commercial driving experience, a clean driving record, and DOT medical certification.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• CDL Class A with Hazmat, Tanker, and Double/Triples endorsements.
• At least 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience with similar equipment.
• Doubles/triples & chaining experience preferred but not required.
• Valid DOT Medical Certification.
• Clean driving record with no DUI, reckless driving, or positive drug/alcohol screen in last 3 years.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and dispatch/managers.
• Basic English proficiency in reading, writing and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate tractor-trailer combinations between terminals or meet points.
• Adapt to inclement weather and varying road conditions.
• Meet the Company’s reliability standards for employees.
• Chain trailers as needed and work in inclement weather.
• Availability to work weekends and/or nights if needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Line Driver:

Responsible for safely transporting freight trailers between terminals or designated meet points, primarily during evening and overnight hours. Duties focus on driving and hooking and unhooking trailers; no freight handling is required.

Competitive Mileage Pay:

• Earn between $0.70 to $0.79 per mile. Plus, you get an extra $0.03 per mile for triples.
• Get compensated for every drop, hook, CHAINING, and fuel.

  • Hourly pay $29.95 to $33.86 doe.
