Job summary

Oak Harbor Freight Lines, Inc. is seeking a Line Driver to transport freight trailers between terminals, primarily during evening and overnight hours. You will focus on driving, hooking and unhooking trailers with no freight handling required, and be part of a regional/local driver team across multiple states.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years old.
• Class A CDL with Hazmat, Tanker, and Double/Triples endorsements.
• At least one year of verifiable commercial driving experience with similar equipment.
• Doubles/triples & chaining experience is preferred but not required.
• Valid DOT Medical Certification.
• Must have a clean driving record. No DUI or positive drug/alcohol screen in the last 3 years.
• Ability to communicate with customers, co-workers, and dispatch/managers. Basic English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently tractor trailer combinations between terminals or meet points.
• Adapt to challenging conditions like inclement weather and road conditions.
• Meet the Company's reliability standard for employees.
• Chain as needed and work in inclement weather is required.
• Availability to work weekends and/or nights if needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Line Driver:

Responsible for safely transporting freight trailers between terminals or designated meet points, primarily during evening and overnight hours. Duties focus on driving and hooking and unhooking trailers; no freight handling is required.

Competitive Mileage Pay:

• Earn between $0.70to $0.79 per mile. Plus, you get an extra $0.03 per mile for triples.
• Get compensated for every drop, hook, CHAINING, and fuel.

• Hourly pay $29.95 to $33.86 doe.
