Qualifications

• Requires four years of college with coursework in business administration and accounting.
• Requires two years of professional experience in accounting, external auditing, budget planning and control or public accounting.
• Prefers knowledge of accounting principles, methods, and procedures.
• Prefers knowledge of laws, rules, and regulations relating to state or non-state accounting or auditing procedures.
• Prefers thorough knowledge of office methods, procedures, standard office accounting machines, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the statewide check writing program with managers and regional offices.
• Serve as working supervisor for Springfield staff.
• Establish and maintain Check Writing training for Springfield staff.
• Coordinate with agency personnel on processing, procedures, and goals.
• Establish and maintain public relations and communicate with officials, auditors, retailers, players, and staff to clarify operations.
• Serve as alternate to the Claims Manager in their absence.
• Perform other duties as required within the scope of duties.
