Lockton Overland Park location is seeking a Claims Support professional to facilitate reporting between clients and insurers, review claims for accuracy, and enter data into the Applied system. You will verify coverage, respond to inquiries, and collaborate with Claims Consultants to ensure timely reporting.

Ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Business or related field, knowledge of property/casualty coverage, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

• Knowledge of multi-line commercial property/casualty coverage and claims.
• Insurance industry knowledge through experience and/or coursework.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated ability to report claim information accurately and promptly to carriers.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Ability to work outside normal business hours.

• Analyzes and reviews insurance claims for accuracy and completeness, obtaining information as necessary.
• Receives claim information from clients and verify current insurance coverage.
• Report claim information accurately and promptly to the appropriate insurance carrier on behalf of the client.
• Enter claim information into Lockton's Applied system for tracking and reporting purposes.
• Field questions and act on requests concerning claim information in a timely manner.

• Proactive in handling daily mail, paying special attention to items requiring immediate attention.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field; or equivalent education and work experience.
• Knowledge of multi-line commercial property/casualty coverage's and claims.
• Insurance industry knowledge through experience and/or coursework.
• Utilization of on-line systems to report and/or retrieve claims documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to report claim information accurately and promptly to the appropriate insurance carrier on behalf of Lockton clients.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Understands industry trends and governmental regulations
• Ability to complete continuing education requirements as needed
• Ability to attend company, department, and team meetings as required, including industry training sessions
• Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures, proactively protecting confidentiality of Client and company information
• Ability to efficiently organize work and manage time in order to meet deadlines
• Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft
• Ability to use office equipment such as a computer, keyboard, calculator, photocopier, and facsimile machine
• Ability to work on a computer for a prolonged amount of time
• Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed
• Legally able to work in the United States
