Qualifications

• 1+ years' experience in customer service and/or insurance/claims background required.
• Must be able to multi-task and handle high call volumes.
• Must be able to learn new processes.
• Must possess excellent data entry skills.
• Must be proficient with MS Office suite.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and possess excellent time management skills.
• Must be able to take direction from leadership and be detail-orientated.
• Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.

Responsibilities

• Answer all department inbound claims calls including cargo, work injury, accidents, safety, etc.
• Gather and document information to initiate/create a claim and respond with internal/external contacts.
• Assign outside vendors up to $2,500 for services when needed.
• Respond to calls/emails from internal departments, insureds, agents, drivers, owner-operators, attorneys, leadership.
• Determine proper company and coverage on all claims.
• Review and handle highly complex incoming claims calls and escalated issues.
• Follow up to ensure claims processes are carried out by various parties.
• Instruct and monitor post-accident drug/alcohol tests as required by DOT.
