Job summary

Swift Transportation seeks an experienced claims professional to lead complex and litigated transportation claims nationwide. You will manage settlements, reserves, and negotiations while guiding a team and coordinating with defense counsel.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in claims, transportation experience, and strong legal terminology knowledge. A Bachelor’s degree and active licensing are required; CPCU/AEI/CPCU is preferred.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of complex claims experience.
• 2+ years in the transportation industry.
• Familiar with legal terminology and ability to identify material items.
• On-call 24/7 on a rotating basis.
• Excellent investigative and negotiation skills.
• Ability to analyze complex situations and manage multiple demands.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Maintain state licensing where required.
• Certification in AIC/AEI/ARM/CPCU preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve complex and litigated transportation claims nationwide.
• Authorize and approve claims payments within delegated authority.
• Investigate, negotiate, and settle claims with policyholders and claimants.
• Prepare for depositions, trials, and mediations; collaborate with defense counsel.
• Mentor and train team members; assist others in achieving objectives.
• Identify trends, fraud, and subrogation opportunities; communicate with management.
