Job summary

PITT OHIO Express LLC in Grove City, OH is seeking a Claims Coordinator-Operations to join our team. In this full-time role you will communicate with customers and drivers, review claims, shortages, damages, PODs and bills of lading, and help minimize claims exposure through accurate data and timely follow-up.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM start, with a focus on teamwork, process improvement, and dependable service.

Qualifications

• Excellent English communication with internal and external customers.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Typing skills and proficiency with MS Office software.
• Analytical, problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• Experience in claims handling is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with internal and external customers on issues including shortages, damages, driver problems, PODs, rates and claims.
• Conduct thorough daily dock checks and itemize shipments that need investigation.
• Attend weekly shift meetings and brief the Terminal Manager on OS&D issues.
• Review weekly Claims Report and rebut claims that should not be paid.
• Maintain daily communication with Terminal Manager on quality issues and high-value claims.
• Audit bills of lading, delivery receipts and movement documents for notation errors.
