Job summary

Markel is seeking a supervisor in our claims department to oversee daily staff activities and ensure accurate processing of claims. You will assist in planning workflow, interpreting coverage, and resolving escalated issues to maintain service excellence.

The role requires 3-5 years in supervision, a P&C license or ability to obtain within 90 days, and strong communication and organizational skills. US work authorization and on-site work in Tennessee preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3-5 years supervisory/management experience.
• P&C Adjuster license or ability to secure within the first 90 days.
• Knowledge of claims adjusting and policy forms.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of staff and set performance standards.
• Assist manager in planning, coordinating, and distributing claims workflow.
• Interpret account insurance coverage to settle claims.
• Resolve escalated client questions and complaints.
• Provide account analysis and audits.
• Assist in hiring, training and retaining staff.
• Contribute to process improvements and internal training.
