Job summary

Markel seeks a Claims Supervisor to lead a team of staff handling processing and adjusting activities. You will guide, train, and support the staff while ensuring accurate interpretation of account insurance coverage to settle claims.

The role involves resolving escalated complaints and maintaining effective workflow across the department. Ideal candidates have a P&C Adjuster license, 2+ years of supervisory experience, and a disciplined approach to meeting service benchmarks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's preferred.
• P&C Adjuster license required; state licensing within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily staff activities and set performance standards.
• 0 assist manager in planning, coordinating and distributing claims workflow.
• Assist staff with interpreting account insurance coverage to settle claims.
• Resolve escalated client complaints and provide service-level guidance.
• Provide account analysis and audits; track performance metrics.
• Support training and development of staff; participate in recruitment.
