Job summary

Markel Corporation seeks a Claims Supervisor to lead a team handling processing and adjusting activities. You will guide staff, interpret account insurance coverage, resolve escalated client questions, and contribute to performance reporting.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years supervisory or management experience in P&C claims, with a license and the ability to secure state licensing within 90 days. This is a full-time on-site role with Markel’s global benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must supervise daily staff activities and set performance standards.
• Experience supervising claims processing or adjusting is preferred.
• Knowledge of account insurance coverage and claims procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate activities of staff in claims processing and adjusting.
• Assist manager with planning, workflow distribution, and staff training.
• Provide internal guidance on insurance coverage and claim settlement options.
• Analyze accounts and perform audits to support service benchmarks.
• Research and recommend process improvements for departmental efficiency.
• Provide internal training on claims processes and support process improvements.
