Job summary

Manheim, a Cox Automotive company, is seeking a Claims Associate I to learn the ropes of resolving customer complaints and preventing recurrences. From day one, you’ll be guided and coached as you work with buyers, sellers, and dealers to coordinate returns and claims.

You’ll review claims, investigate simple cases, communicate findings across departments, and help negotiate resolutions while maintaining accurate case files. This role offers growth in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with <2 years of related experience.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to adapt in a fluid and changing environment.
• 1+ years automotive or body shop experience.
• Claims adjuster experience.

Responsibilities

• Review customer claims to verify they meet Manheim’s National Arbitration policies.
• Investigate basic, less complex cases or those requiring prescriptive decision-making.
• Interface with all departments involved in the complaint during fact finding.
• Utilize resources to facilitate inspection, documentation, and communication.
• Apply appropriate levels of financial approval to resolve cases.
• Prepare communication for resolution via phone, email, or in person.
• Mediate disputes and negotiate repair/pricing to reach mutual agreement.
• Maintain accurate files with invoices and settlement documents.
• Escalate to supervisor as needed.
