Job summary

Manheim, a Cox Automotive company, is seeking a Claims Associate I to learn the ropes of resolving customer complaints and preventing repeat issues. You’ll work with buyers, sellers, and dealers to coordinate and validate returns and claims with guidance from day one.

Ideal candidates may have 1+ years in automotive or body shop settings or claims adjuster experience, and must demonstrate accuracy, organization, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED and less than 2 years of related experience.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• The ability to adapt in a fluid and changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Learn the ropes with guidance and coaching to handle returns and claims.
• Review customer claims against Manheim’s National Arbitration policies and guidelines.
• Investigate basic, less complex cases and those requiring prescriptive decisions.
• Interface with departments during fact finding and investigation.
• Utilize resources to inspect, document, and communicate actions to resolve cases.
• Apply appropriate levels of financial approval to resolve cases.
• Communicate resolution via phone, email, and in-person discussions.
• Mediates disputes and negotiates repair/pricing to reach mutual agreements.
• Maintain accurate files for each arbitration case with invoices and settlements.
• Escalate to supervisor as needed.
