Manheim, a Cox Automotive company, is seeking an Auto Claims Specialist I to learn the ropes of resolving customer complaints and ensuring we don’t make the same mistake again. You’ll review claims, interface with departments, and pursue resolutions.

The role emphasizes negotiation, factual investigation, and timely communication, with opportunities for growth and exposure to arbitration policies across national scopes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Typically under 2 years of experience.
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to adapt in a fluid environment.

Responsibilities

• Review customer claims to verify alignment with Manheim's National Arbitration policies and guidelines.
• Investigate basic, less complex cases or those requiring prescriptive decisions.
• Interface with all involved departments during fact finding and investigation phases.
• Use resources to investigate and facilitate inspection, documentation, and communication for resolution.
• Apply appropriate levels of financial approval to resolve cases.
• Evaluate claims by obtaining, comparing, evaluating, and validating information.
• Communicate resolution via telephone, email, and in-person discussions.
• Mediate disputes and negotiate repair or pricing to reach mutual agreement and keep vehicles sold.
• Maintain accurate files for each arbitration case, including invoices and settlement agreements.
• Engage with supervisor/manager to determine escalation needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
