Job summary

Berger Moving & Storage is seeking a Claims Adjuster to support our nationwide relocation network. The role involves opening and entering claims daily, processing claims for Berger agents and national accounts, and maintaining up-to-date information in our claim system.

You will collaborate with General Managers, Customer Service, Operations, Drivers, and vendors to obtain accurate information, communicate with customers, and ensure timely resolution.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 2 years customer service or office experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service, communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Well organized, detail oriented and able to complete tasks on schedule.
• Ability to compose letters and emails professionally.
• Basic accounting knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Open and enter claims daily.
• Process claims for Berger agents and national accounts.
• Communicate daily with customers.
• Maintain up-to-date information in the Berger Claim System.
• Work with GM, Customer Service, Operations, and Drivers to obtain accurate claim information.
• Answer Claim Department main phone line and determine next steps.
• Assist with managing the Corporate Claims Inbox.
• Assign outside repair vendors based on location and expertise.
• Maintain required reports and allocate claim responsibility for supervisor approval.
• Scan documents into the imaging system and file closed claims.
